It is worth noting here that the Energy Efficient Driving Index (EEDI) score only updates on the Safer Driving Assistant (SDA1) every time the ignition is switched off and then turned on again.
If this has been done and the EEDI score still isn’t changing, it is usually due to two main issues:
The EEDI score is staying at 0
If the EEDI score is staying at 0 and not changing, this is usually because the settings from the web-based application haven’t been communicated to the SDA1 device. This could be due to the Driver Identification not being presented.
In this case, you would need to make sure that the Driver Identification is being used. If it hasn’t been used, then the issue should be rectified on its commencement.
If the Driver Identification is being used and there is still a problem, then you need to contact our Support Team who will investigate this further.
The EEDI score is stuck at the same value
If the EEDI score is stationary at the same value (this would normally be around 65) and isn’t changing, it is usually due to the CAN bus data not being communicated between the vehicle and the CMS SupaTrak system. If communication has been compromised, the EEDI score won’t change; for example, the driver won’t be losing any points for over revving or speeding and they wouldn’t be gaining any points for green-band driving. This would therefore leave the driver with a basic score of approximately 65, although this number would be dependent upon the template.
This issue could also be due to the Driver Identification not being presented. In this case, you would need to make sure that the Driver Identification is being used. If it hasn’t been used, then the issue should be rectified on its commencement.
If the Driver Identification is being used and there is still a problem, then you need to contact our Support Team who will investigate this further.
